3.4MHz at 170μA, 64Kbit low-power FRAM by Fujitsu Semiconductor

Fujitsu Semiconductor has announced a miniature and low-power 64Kbit FRAM (Ferroelectric random-access memory) “MB85RC64T”, with average operating current 170μA at maximum operating frequency 3.4MHz, aiming at battery-powered wearable devices, smart meter and other IoT devices.

It runs on wide-range voltage supply from 1.8V to 3.6V. With average operating current 80μA at 1MHz, Fujitsu Semiconductor says its operating power is 80% less than previous product in same capacity.

It also offers SON8 (Small Outline Non-leaded) package, 80% smaller than industrial standard SOP8 package in mounting area.
